An americano is a strong coffee, made with espresso and hot water. To make an Americano:

1. Dispense a single or dopio espresso into a mug from the bar (see making an espresso)
2. Top the mug up with hot but not boiling water (boiling water will scorch the coffee)
3. Add milk if you like, otherwise...
4. That's all there is to an americano!
