With the unfortunate loss of my Nan came an opportunity to get on the housing ladder and own our own house. Unfortunately, the house needs thorough renovation and for want of a better phrase; gutting.

Being a 1968 semi-detached, we're already finding 'quirks' and 'non-standard' 'features'. So far we've focussed on getting the bedroom done so we have a haven in the bedlem. As I type this, the carpet fitters are just laying the bedroom carpet. That will mean the bedroom is done.
